Delta Goodrem hides her heartache

Delta Goodrem may be nursing a broken heart after her split from fiancé Brian McFadden, but she didn't let it show as she stepped out in Los Angeles today.

The Australian singer put on a smile as arrived for a business meeting in Culver City in black jeans, a white top and leather jacket.

The 26-year-old attempted to emulate the California girl look with loose blonde curls and plenty of bronzer.

It seems the star, who is working on her fourth studio album, is now focusing on her career in the wake of her break-up and met with executives from the CESD Talent Agency.

It's the first time Goodrem has been seen since her split from McFadden last week.

The former Westlife member and former Neighbours actress issued a joint statement on Friday which insisted the parting was mutual and amicable.

‘This decision has been made with a lot of soul searching from both parties with the realisation that they have grown apart.

McFadden later took to his Twitter page, writing: ‘I love Delta and always will. She is one of God's living angels. I thank her for giving me the best years of my life. Please give us time x’

In February 30-year-old Irishman, who is a judge on Australia's God Talent, was accused of being drunk and smoking on a plane.

Goodrem, who successfully battled Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer in 2003, is known for her clean living.

The pair met in 2004 when he asked her to duet with him on the song Almost Here.

At the time McFadden was still married to reality TV star Kerry Katona, the mother of his two children, although they had separated and the song was about their break up.

McFadden and Katona have two children together, nine-year-old Molly and eight-year-old Lilly-Sue.
